 Creating Steampunk Characters: From Concept To Costume - The League of S.T.E.A.M. takes you on a journey through the development of Steampunk characters and an overview of the fabrication of props and costumes. In this informative workshop, The League will discuss the importance of creating strong concepts for Steampunk characters and how to visually translate those concepts into impressive costumes. Attendees will learn fabrication techniques, where to find materials, Steampunk design aesthetics and other helpful shop tips!

 Steampunk 101 - Slide show and discussion defining where Steampunk came from, how it is defined today and the future of the genre. As well as living Steampunk versus cosplay.

 Steampunk 102 - Costuming and props in the Steampunk aesthetic. Helpful hints on researching and educating oneself about the Victorian era and discussions of Steampunk as a community.

Steampunk Prop Fabrication I - Basic modding techniques and found object assembly, discussion of "knowing" how your prop works and the "psuedo" science behind it.

Steampunk Prop Fabrication IIa - Designing and researching your ideas as well as execution through the use of basic mechanics and electronics including finishing touches and detail work.

Steampunk Prop Fabrication IIb - The League of S.T.E.A.M. secrets revealed. Artists from the The League will discuss and demonstrate how their equipment works and techniques used to achieve the effects.

Achieving The Victorian Look - A discussion of resources to examine period fashions, construct and buy materials for men and women of the Victorian era.

Achieving The Steampunk Look - "Punk" defined and how it collides with Victorian clothing and gadgetry to create "Steampunk". Fashion and courture as influenced by Steampunk.

Steampunk As A Music Scene - Open discussion, exploration and debate ofthe music scene as defined by a literary aesthetic and the Steampunk community.

Adventures Of The League Of Steam - Come meet the talented makers of the web series and learn how they produce those awesome shorts on the tightest of budgets.

Open Forum Show & Tell - People from the Steampunk community are welcome to show and discuss thier creations.

Meet Steam Powered Giraffe (Interactive - Sing Along) - An awesome chance to learn just what in the world in is the mechanical brain of a singing steam powered robot. Also joing them for a two song sing along. (All ages!)

Cherie Priest Interview & Signing - Here is you chance to meet her in person and learn what inspires her awesome books Bone Shaker & Dreadnought. Bring your books to be signed by this most awesome author. Don't forget she will be reading at the Tea Party.

Nick Valentino Interview & Signing - Nick is the author of the awesome Steampunk novel Thomas Riley. Bring your books to be signed by this most awesome author. Don't forget he will be reading at the Tea Party.

O.M. Grey Interview & Signing -  Meet this fabulous author and find out what inspires her stories like Avalon Revisited. Don't forget she will be reading at the Tea Party.

Elizabeth Darvill Steamy Reading - So are you ready for some Love In A Time Of Steam? Join Elizabeth as she reads a selection from her book and get your copy signed. (Please note this panel is not for the young ones!)

Makeup Techniques - Learn how to make a nasty looking wound, how to look dirty when your not, how to apply makeup properly and how to store it.

Authoring 101 - Come meet some authors and what it took them to get published. (Guests of this panel TBA.)

Costume Nazis - Why do they persist? Learn how to deal with them and how keep that chin high when someone rips on your costume or gadget.

Convention/Festival Planning - The first question is: Are you nuts? If you said yes then join us and learn the uphill climb you are in for.

Wild Wild West Con 2012 - Learn about special guests, musical guests and the theme for 2012. This is also an excellent chance for your input.
